Rooted in Our Future - Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Signature Fundraiser
This annual event welcomes more than 200 supporters for a casual communal evening to celebrate native plants, conservation and the Preserve’s stewardship in the community.
Guests will enjoy a spring-inspired menu by Max Hansen Caterer, botanical libations from Bluestem Botanicals and live jazz performed by the Dave Dales Trio. The evening will also include a lively “Raise Your Paddle” fundraiser led by honorary co-host Jenny Rose Carey, renowned gardener, educator and author. Guests will enjoy interactive demonstrations that celebrate nature’s connection to art, design and gardening.
New this year is an optional “Happy Trails Hour” pre-event reception from 5 to 6 p.m. hosted within the preserve’s Native Plant Nursery Marketplace. Guests will enjoy guided wildflower walks to see Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica) in peak bloom or take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Preserve’s Native Plant Nursery. Guests will also enjoy after-hours shopping and cocktails amidst the abundant Marketplace Nursery offerings.
Since 2021, Rooted in Our Future has raised $1M and this year’s goal is to raise $200,000. Proceeds directly support crucial operations—from maintaining 134 acres of native habitats and trails to advancing native plant education, research and community programming.
