A new event series that serves up some of Scottsdale’s most in-demand menus paired with art and entertainment is launching during Arizona Restaurant Week. “Meet the Makers” is a new quarterly event that takes guests behind the scenes to meet the chefs who bring their magic to coveted culinary destinations throughout the shopping center. Each quarterly event will take on a new thematic twist with an artistic or entertainment pairing. The Meet the Makers series kicks off at Moxies with an exclusive meet-and-greet launch party from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Attendees will sample curated bites paired with the work of food artist Allison Pynn, whose vivid drawings are so precisely detailed they read as photographs – but they are hyper realistic colored-pencil drawings. Pynn’s work will be on display near the shopping center’s Lux Concierge Desk, West Wing during Arizona Restaurant Week, from Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 27.
Select pieces from the exhibit will be on display during the reception at Moxies on Sept. 24, which will feature a menu inspired by Pynn’s artistry, while Executive Chef conducts a meet and greet while offering light bites and specialty cocktails.

Visitors who wish to explore Pynn’s art exhibit on an alternate date are encouraged to complement their tour with a specially curated menu at Scottsdale Fashion Square restaurants participating in Arizona Restaurant Week, including Elephante, Nobu, Luna by Giada, Teleferic Barcelona, Toca Madera and Society Swan.
