John Wayne Rides Again: The Undefeated Screening & Discussion
As part of the Still in the Saddle exhibition and film series, Western Spirit Museum: Scottsdale's Museum of the West invites guests to a special screening of The Undefeated (1969), starring John Wayne and Rock Hudson. Set in the turbulent years following the Civil War, the film follows two former military leaders who must overcome their differences while navigating conflict-ridden Mexico. The screening will be introduced by renowned film historian and two-time Emmy Award-winning makeup artist Michael F. Blake, who will also lead an engaging post-film discussion. Blake is the author of several books on Western film history, including The Cavalry Trilogy: John Ford, John Wayne, and the Making of Three Classic Westerns. Rated G, the film runs 1 hour and 59 minutes. Admission is free for museum members and included with general museum admission. Program-only tickets are available for $10.
