Step into the world of the American West with a special screening of A Man Called Horse (1970) as part of the Western Spirit Museum's Still in the Saddle film series and exhibit. Starring Richard Harris and Judith Anderson, the acclaimed Western follows an English aristocrat whose life is transformed after being captured by the Sioux in the 1820s. Filmed in Arizona and the Sierra Mountain region near Durango, Mexico, the movie remains one of the era’s most talked-about Westerns. Western Spirit Chief Curator and Western cinema expert Dr. Andrew Patrick Nelson will introduce the film and lead a post-screening audience discussion exploring its legacy and impact on the genre.
