Guided Tour of Island Cemetery and the Belmont Chapel
Island Cemetery is the final resting place of hundreds of notable people and this tour focuses on about a dozen selected individuals. Among those on the tour are military heroes, architects, real estate tycoons, civil rights activists, and financial giants. Included in the tour is a visit to the Belmont Chapel, which has recently been restored to its former glory.
Meet the tour guide at the Warner Street entrance at 10am. Tours last 1-1.5 hours and comfortable footwear is a good idea. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased on the cemetery website.
