Shades of Blue
The Wickford Art Association is pleased to announce the opening of Shades of Blue, a juried exhibition exploring the depth, mood, and creative possibilities of the color blue. The exhibit opens Friday, February 6, at the Wickford Art Association Gallery, located at 36 Beach Street in North Kingstown.
Juried by Karen Dolmanisth, Shades of Blue features work by regional artists across a range of media, including painting, photography, mixed media, and sculpture. The exhibition invites viewers to consider blue as both a visual element and an emotional language, evoking calm, melancholy, movement, and reflection.
Karen Dolmanisth brings a thoughtful and experienced perspective to the jurying process, selecting works that demonstrate strong technique, originality, and compelling interpretations of the theme.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, February 6, and is free and open to the public. Guests will have the opportunity to view the artwork, meet fellow art lovers, and celebrate the creativity of participating artists.
Shades of Blue will be on view during regular gallery hours following the opening. The Wickford Art Association Gallery is wheelchair accessible, and all are welcome.
