Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is proud to announce "The BIG Show," an annual, open community exhibit, kicking off on January 10 and running through January 30 at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren, Rhode Island.
For those interested in a sneak peek, the gallery will be open on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 12-3 and Friday, Jan. 9 from 12-6 p.m. while we finish up the final exhibit details.
A complimentary public, artist reception will be held on Saturday, January 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. in honor of the 77 artists participating in this year's exhibit. Live music will be provided by jazz pianist Joe Parillo.
BankNewport is generously sponsoring this year’s cash awards. Award categories include Timeless Beauty, Connection to Community, Artistic Expression, Timeless Fusion, Thought-Provoking, Spirit of Creativity, Artistic Harmony, Whimsy and Wonder, Poetic Gesture and The Innovator’s Award.
Additionally, members of the IFA community will be noting their favorite works with IFA Recognition labels. These special accolades, extended by the organization, aim to acknowledge the exceptional talent reflected in this year’s submissions and our heartfelt gratitude to participants for helping us present an exhibition that truly captures the essence and diversity of the regional artistic community.
Artwork in the exhibit features a wide array of media, styles, and subject matter. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work is included. Make time to experience this outstanding collection of locally created artwork which offers the opportunity to purchase exceptional pieces on a cash-and-carry basis throughout the exhibition.
Regular gallery hours for the exhibit are Thursdays 12-3, Friday and Saturday noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
Imago Foundation for the Arts is a non-profit organization run by artists for artists. Its mission is to inspire creativity and promote art-making that enriches our community.
