During this annual program, guests will create their own Victorian-style valentines using traditional designs and materials, while also enjoying chocolate treats, a timeless Valentine’s indulgence. This hands-on Valentine experience is designed for all ages—families, adults without children, couples, and history lovers alike. Projects are designed for ages 4+, but all ages are welcome.
This year is especially meaningful as our country celebrates its 250th anniversary. Even back in the 1700s, cards were exchanged on this special day. Handmade cards were always a cherished way to show affection.
The program runs between noon - 3:00 pm., with closing at 4 pm. Most guests spend about 30–60 minutes but are welcome to stay longer to create at their own pace or explore the history of Lincoln's last one-room schoolhouse.
The cost is $10 per participant which includes all materials and refreshments. Advance registrations are strongly recommended and may be made through www.greatroadheritagecampus.org.
The Pullen's Corner Schoolhouse is part of the historic Great Road Heritage Campus at Chase Farm Park, 671 Great Road, Lincoln. Free parking on site. The schoolhouse, built in 1850, may have accessibility limitations for some. Contact in advance with any questions or accommodation needs at [email protected] or 401-726-0597. Proceeds support the continued programming at the historic schoolhouse, which is managed by the volunteer organization, Friends of Hearthside.
