An Hour with Eleanor
The Westport Point United Methodist Church, 1912 Main Road, Westport Point, is pleased to host "An Hour with Eleanor", on Thursday, August 21st at 7 pm. This is a one woman play by Cynthia Truesdale Krause about the life of Eleanor Roosevelt. Cynthia has worked in theater since 1989, playing many roles over the years. Her love for theater lead her toward playwriting and she created this play, exploring a life of joys and sorrows experienced by Eleanor Roosevelt. Eleanor was not only the wife of an American president, but also a catalyst for social change in her own right. Please join us for this free event. Donations will be accepted at the door and will benefit the Howland Hall Community Center Renovation Project. The Westport Point United Methodist Church and the attached Howland Hall Community Center are part of the National Register of Historic Places, and the community center is in need of repairs and improved accessibility.
