Scouting America Pinewood Races at Reno Public Market

Do you have fond memories of being a kid, carving up your own Pinewood Derby Car and racing it?! Scouting America will hold its 2026 Nevada Area Council Pinewood Derby Championships at Reno Public Market starting Saturday & Sunday, March 14-15 from 9 am to 4 pm. The iconic program has been a program of Cub Scouts (ages 5-11) for over 70 years. There are 35 packs in Northern Nevada competing and the top finishers move forward to the semi-final round called the District Races this weekend and then to a final round called Finals Regional Championship on April 4 at Reno Public Market. The public is invited to come cheer on more than 200 Cub Scouts locally as they compete in the Pinewood Derby Championship.
