Sunrise Science: Musical Moods

Come for the music and storytelling, stay for the physics and psychology! Richmond-based musician, composer and cultural explorer Prabir Mehta dives into the fascinating intersection of songscience and music. Learn about the physics of sound and how music connects with human emotions. Mehta will perform live on guitar, guiding audiences through the ancient system of Indian raags. These songs have long been associated with specific moods, times, or seasons, offering a unique window into how music once helped people interpret and understand the world around them.
