Staying safe online; free presentation for seniors at The Crossroads at Bon Air
Don’t become a victim of fraud! The Crossroads at Bon Air will host a free presentation, “Staying Safe Online: Scams, Frauds and Identity Theft Targeting Seniors,” on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 1:00 p.m., at 9100 Bon Air Crossings Drive in Richmond.
Presented by the Chesterfield County Police Department, the session will teach seniors and their families how to identify common internet scams and what precautions to take when encountering suspicious emails or pop-up warnings on smartphones, computers and other electronic devices. The presentation will also cover preventative steps to protect against identity theft.
