The free, all-ages Live in The Laurel concert series continues with Oakland funk and soul favorites The Grease Traps. This eight-piece band delivers infectious grooves, powerhouse vocals, blazing horns, and dance-floor classics inspired by the golden age of funk and soul, along with original music from their acclaimed recordings. Local youth and student musicians open the show at 7 p.m. Arrive early to enjoy dinner at Degrees Plato or another Laurel District restaurant, then explore neighborhood shops, cafés, public art, and murals before or after the concert. Presented by the Laurel District Association.
