Voices of Silicon Valley (VOSV) is pleased to perform contemporary vocal music mixed with electronics! This is a rare opportunity to witness and explore the relationship between choral-like singing and music production-- electronic instruments, software programs, and live mixing.
Come hear the Bay area's leading electronic music artist Kris Grant in combination with VOSV's director, Cyril Deaconoff, setting of "La rosa de Mexico", based upon poet Xavier Villaurrutia's "Nocturna rosa". We'll also explore the page of words unread in composer Alexander Frank's newest choral work "Lorem Ipsum", as well as revisit Peter Shin's "Bits Torn from Words::VI. If __________ did happen, how bad would it be?"
We're excited to introduce talented young artist Nathan Zabaleta's work, Dream, in combination with electronics by Kris Grant. Dream is a choral piece inspired by Georgian singing. Come witness these amazing premieres at the San Francisco performance!
