The Phoenix's black box venu creates the intimacy of Monte Cristo Cottage in Connecticut, where the play is set, allowing the audience to experiece the tension of the family's confinement as they struggle in a round-robin of accusations, recriminations, apologies and lies while battling alcoholism and drug addiction.
