The Weight of a Blessing by Tim Belonax
The show opens with snacks and libations on Saturday, Sept 5 from 6 to 9 pm and runs Thursdays through Sundays through Oct. 25. Belonax’s new work wrestles with alternate possibilities, unraveling the complexity behind the simple. Revisiting his work from formative years at CalArts and Facebook’s Analog Research Lab, this collection rubs shoulders with Belonax’s education in graphic design, bringing feelings into physical form through print and collage. These works aren’t built to be scrolled past. They ask for the kind of attention only a hand can earn, proof that the reward is in the process, not just what’s left behind on the page or screen.
