SSAS Toracon: Anime, Gaming, Sci-Fi & Comic Convention
SSAS Toracon started 15 years ago at Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences as a anime, gaming, comic, and sci-fi convention made for middle schoolers. All ages are invited though! It's created by the SSAS Anime Club and has become a community event as Riverview High School's Anime Club runs the maid cafe and does a live performance. Sarasota High has a Jazz Band that will be playing from 1-2 to end our amazing run. We also have artists and vendors from local middle schools, high schools, and colleges as well as professionals in the area.
Admission this year is free, since it is our last year. It has been a great 15 year year and we couldn't be prouder of this event that has laser tag, bounce houses, martial arts demonstrations, magic wand making, fan panels, video gaming competitions, a photobooth for commemorative photos, live performances, and so much more.
