Violinist Kristin Lee and Sandbox Percussion at Emerald City Music
Violinist Kristin Lee, praised in The Strad for her “elegance” and “vivacity and electric energy,” and GRAMMY-nominated ensemble Sandbox Percussion, described by The Guardian as “utterly mesmerizing,” join forces for the world premiere performance of a new work composed for them by JUNO Award-winning composer Vivian Fung. Sandbox and Lee pair Fung’s new work titled Goddess//Insect with To Sing Or Dance by Joan Tower, which was also co-commissioned by Emerald City Music, as well as Gabriella Smith’s new work for Sandbox Percussion, FIVE.
