Juneteenth Celebration: A Road to Economic Freedom
Join us for the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration: A Road to Economic Freedom on June 19th, 2026 at Haub Family Field and the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. Recognized as Washington’s largest Juneteenth celebration, this free, family-friendly event brings together culture, entertainment, community resources, and opportunity for a powerful day centered around connection, empowerment, and celebration.
More than just a festival, Juneteenth WA is designed to create meaningful impact by connecting thousands of attendees with pathways toward Economic Freedom. Throughout the event, guests will have opportunities to engage with organizations, businesses, and community leaders focused on workforce development, trades, higher education, healthcare, housing, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, transportation, and small business support. Resource providers are intentionally woven throughout the event experience to encourage authentic community interaction and accessibility.
Attendees can experience a full day of live entertainment featuring national and local artists, DJs, cultural performances, community showcases, and more on the main stage. Past celebrations have featured nationally recognized talent alongside incredible Pacific Northwest performers, creating an energetic atmosphere that celebrates culture, creativity, and community pride.
Families can explore the Family & Kid Zone filled with activities, games, educational experiences, entertainment, and hands-on fun for children of all ages. Hosted in partnership with youth-focused organizations and community groups, the Kid Zone helps ensure the event remains welcoming and engaging for the next generation.
Food lovers can enjoy the expanded Taste of Juneteenth experience featuring a diverse lineup of food vendors, food trucks, desserts, cultural cuisine, and local favorites from across the Pacific Northwest. With more food vendors than ever before, guests can spend the day exploring flavors, supporting small businesses, and experiencing the rich diversity of the community.
New for 2026, the Community Car & Bike Show will showcase a wide variety of classic cars, custom builds, motorcycles, lowriders, imports, and modern rides in a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and culture. The showcase will bring together community car clubs, collectors, builders, and enthusiasts from throughout the region.
Guests 21+ can also enjoy the first-ever Juneteenth WA Beer Garden, featuring local breweries, cideries, and beverage partners in a relaxed social atmosphere near the entertainment and food areas. The Beer Garden adds another layer of community gathering space while supporting the continued growth of the event.
The celebration will also feature hundreds of vendors, artists, creators, nonprofits, and small businesses offering products, services, art, apparel, information, and community engagement opportunities throughout the venue. By supporting local businesses and organizations, attendees directly contribute to the economic impact and sustainability of the community.
Hosted by WayOut Kids and Juneteenth WA, this event continues to grow each year as a platform for celebration, visibility, education, and opportunity. The mission of “A Road to Economic Freedom” is reflected throughout the event by creating spaces where culture, resources, business, and community come together in meaningful ways.
