America 250: Power of the Press
An afternoon of activities at MOHAI explores the power of the press. Get hands-on experience with a printing press learning how to make your own prints. Create a ‘Zine with local artist, Vivian Li. Peruse political printed materials from the MOHAI Collection. At 3pm, watch “The Dispatch”, a play about a 1776 print shops decision to print the Declaration of Independence. And learn how the printed word has been used to inspire change.
