SS Virginia V America 250 Tour: The Mosquito Fleet
Climb aboard the steamer Virginia V and take an evening cruise around Lake Union all while learning about the historic Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet, an armada of vessels that carried freight and passengers throughout Puget Sound during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Virginia V is the last operational example of a Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet steamer. This unique on-the-water evening features Virginia V Foundation Head Docent, Ed Brown, sharing some Pacific Northwest maritime history, along with tales of steamboat races, shipwrecks and dockside brawls.
Boarding begins at 6:30pm and the Virginia V departs promptly at 7pm. There will be no late boarding.
