HANA HILLEROVÁ | FLOW: THE SHAPE OF PROCESS

Known for her background in large-scale sculpture and installation, Hillerová brings a bold, unconventional approach to glass that pushes beyond the traditional studio practice. Hillerová’s work is alive with movement. Balancing control and chance, she allows molten glass to flow, settle, and transform—capturing a moment shaped by heat, motion, and time. The result is work that feels both immediate and elemental, each piece holding the visible energy of its making. The exhibition features three striking series. Remix reimagines historic Czech factory molds as open, architectural forms that connect past and present. Riot of Spring layers molten glass infused with rare-earth materials like uranium and neodymium, producing luminous, shifting color with a painterly intensity. Centrifugal Forms harnesses rotational force to create dynamic, sculptural works that are cut and refined into their final form. Included are works developed during Hillerová’s recent residency at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, alongside pieces produced in the Czech Republic—offering a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of her practice. We are excited to introduce Hana Hillerová to Traver Gallery and invite you to experience this powerful new body of work.
