11-time Grammy Award winner Christian McBride brings his acclaimed ensemble Ursa Major to Whidbey Island for one night only.
One of the most influential voices in modern jazz, McBride is the Artistic Director of the Newport Jazz Festival and host of NPR’s Jazz Night in America. Known for his dynamic performances and genre-spanning collaborations, he leads Ursa Major in a powerful live set that blends virtuosity, groove, and bold improvisation.
This exclusive performance takes place on the newly renovated WICA Mainstage, offering an intimate concert experience with just 226 seats available.
The evening opens with a special performance by Mahuki, a project led by Langley-based guitarist and composer Honza Kourimsky. Blending cinematic energy with hypnotic rhythms, Mahuki’s sound moves between spiritual jazz, fusion, and groove-driven improvisation.
