Food has a unique power to dissolve barriers. On Saturday morning, we invite you to experience that magic firsthand at Ghaidaa’s Table: A Syrian Community Breakfast.
Hosted by Chef Ghaidaa Masrabi, this intimate breakfast event is designed to bring our community together over the shared ritual of a morning meal. In Syrian culture, breakfast isn’t just a quick bite—it’s a spread of flavors meant to be savored slowly, surrounded by conversation.
Supporting a Dream: Ghaidaa came to St. Louis with a dream of sharing her culinary heritage. Working with Fork in the Road Foundation, she is turning her incredible skill in the kitchen into a sustainable business. By joining us, you are directly supporting Ghaidaa’s path to economic independence. You are helping a refugee entrepreneur build capital, gain confidence, and establish herself as a leader in our local food scene.
Whether you come alone or with a group, you will find a warm welcome, new friends, and a plate full of heart.
The Morning Feast
A 6-Course Traditional Syrian Spread
Chef Ghaidaa has curated a menu of traditional morning favorites, featuring fresh ingredients and bold spices.
Hummus served with Pita – Creamy chickpeas blended with garlic and lemon, served with a swirl of olive oil.
Cheese Samosa – Filo dough stuffed with mozzarella, feta and parsley and then deep-fried to perfection.
Falafel Pieces – Crispy, golden-fried chickpea patties with herbs, served with savory tahini.
Zaa’tar Manekeesh – Freshly baked dough topped with a fragrant mix of thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and olive oil.
Feta and Olives – A plate of feta cheese and olives drizzled with olive oil and served with pita.
Hot Tea Bar – Warm up with your choice of Mint, Ginger, Rose, or classic Black tea.
