Friends' Annual Plant Sale

Every spring in early May, savvy gardeners queue up outside the big tent at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum to get the best pick of a mouth-watering selection of annuals, vegetables, herbs, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Many of these are unique and not easily found at typical garden centers. Check out the list of plants to be offered at the Friends’ website: https://www.arboretumfriends.org/2026plant-list/. Throughout the event, knowledgeable local plant experts will be available to answer questions and help you choose the perfect plants for your garden. Representatives from community gardens, the Herb Society, and many Master Gardeners can advise which plants work well in various soil and light conditions, as well as how to plant and maintain them. Proceeds from the Friends’ Plant Sale support horticultural education and further the development of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote public awareness of horticulture and the natural world through sponsorship of projects and educational opportunities; and to support the Morris County Park Commission’s horticultural sites.
