Mitzi Cowell and Her Cool Band
Tucson native guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Mitzi
Cowell's music is a gumbo of desert swamp funk and smart songwriting in a
base of blues and old-school R&B sensibilities, featuring funky fingerpicking,
soulful slide, and blues mastery. Mitzi is an Arizona Blues Hall of Famer, as
well as winner of TKMA's 2012 Tucson Folk Festival Songwriting
Competition. Her band includes some of Tucson’s hottest players, bringing
you some cool traditional blues as well as roots-based original music in the
realm of Americana and rock. If you’re a fan of Mitzi’s bass playing at the
