Bailey was just three years old when Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) made its first move. What began as tiny feet turning inward quickly became daily falls, weak ankles, and a childhood interrupted by challenges no kid should face. By age four, Bailey was fitted with ankle-foot braces—and she’s worn them every day since. Now 16, with five leg surgeries behind her, Bailey’s strength, grit, and spirit continue to shine.
Bailey’s story is not unique. Millions of people around the world live with CMT, navigating its progressive and often invisible challenges every day.
Bailey’s Beat the Bite was created to honor that journey—to raise awareness, build community, and fund hope. As a registered not-for-profit (EIN #41-2529594), we are proudly hosting our 10th Annual Bailey's Beat the Bite 5K, bringing people together to bite back!
