Ray Tigerman, acclaimed for his striking contemporary style and evocative Southwestern imagery, creates acrylic paintings and bronze sculptures defined by bold textures and vibrant hues.
Raised in the high desert of Northern Nevada, just a stone’s throw from the Washoe Tribe Reservation, Tigerman was immersed early on in the rich landscapes and cultural heritage of the Southwest. His great-grandmother’s membership in the Oklahoma Choctaw Nation further deepened his appreciation for Native American culture and influence.
Tigerman’s work reflects his artistic vision: “I seek to create bold, colorful, layered, and dimensional works on canvas and board that evoke a sense of nostalgic mysticism and intrigue.”
