Quilt Fiesta!

Stunning Displays: Prize winning judged quilts. Hundreds of quilts from talented artisans, ranging from classic patterns to modern designs. The Quilt Fiesta’s special exhibits include “Patchwork: Stitching Together Arizona History” an exhibit from the Arizona Historical Society, “Old Glories: Antique Quilts” from Lenna DeMarco’s collection of antique quilts and a retrospective exhibit “Fifty Fabulous Years” of Tucson Quilters Guild quilts from members from the 1980’s, 1990s and 2000s. Community Connection: The Guild established “Quilt for Others” over 30 years ago. Since then, thousands of quilts have gone into the community. Averaging about 300 quilts a year go to nursing homes, hospices, foster children, children with cancer and veterans, VA hospice. There will be a small quilt sale during the Quilt Fiesta, proceeds will go to Friends of Aphasia, and KXCI Radio. A sit and sew for Quilts of Valor offers a chance for visitors to participate in a community effort. Vendor Marketplace: Explore fabrics, tools, and unique handmade items. Some of the local vendors and supporters of our guild are Cathey’s Sew and Vac, Cactus Quilt Shop, and Quilt Central. We are celebrating 50 years, inviting visitors to step into a world where fabrics tell stories across decades. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or simply appreciate fine craftsmanship, this event promises inspiration for all.
