Love, and the echo of being loved, has always lived at the center of music. This program gathers fragments of love stories, each refracted through a different voice, a different time, a different imagination. Bringing together works from across Europe, the program highlights the unique voices and national colors that shaped Romantic music, while wandering freely across centuries and styles, from the elegance of the 18th century to the colors of the present day. The music slips between worlds, classical tradition and the familiar glow of musical theatre, tracing love in its many forms: desire, devotion, distance, and loss. Join us for an evening where love is not simply told but felt, unfolding in sound that is at once intimate, dramatic, and timeless.
Performers: Soprano Beth Jargstorf, mezzo-soprano Siyu Pan, clarinetist Anna Kang, and pianist Sophia Su.
