Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!

Tulsa Performing Arts Center proudly presents an original production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, running July 24–August 16, 2026 in the Williams Theatre. This beloved American musical comes to life in a new staging that celebrates Oklahoma’s rich cultural heritage and the power of community. Following Tulsa PAC’s critically acclaimed productions of Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma! continues the Center’s tradition of delivering Broadway-caliber storytelling rooted in local connection. Directed by Pete Otis, with music direction by Cathy Venable and choreography by Jen Alden, the production brings together outstanding artists to honor a story that helped define American musical theatre. Set in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century, Oklahoma! tells a timeless story of love, rivalry, and belonging, capturing a pivotal moment when a region, and a nation, was on the brink of transformation. Its iconic score and optimistic spirit have made it a cornerstone of American culture for generations. In tribute to Discoveryland’s beloved legacy, audiences will have the opportunity to enhance their evening with optional ticket add-ons, including a classic Oklahoma BBQ meal and Berries and Cream before the performance. Live pre-show entertainment featuring cast members and local musicians will further enrich the experience, creating a festive, community-centered atmosphere each night. This production is proud to be part of the official Route 66 Centennial celebrations, honoring the cultural traditions and stories that connect Oklahoma to the nation and beyond. Presented in Tulsa — a historic crossroads of the Mother Road — Oklahoma! offers visitors and locals alike a meaningful cultural experience during this landmark anniversary. Save the dates: July 24–August 16, 2026. Tickets will be available this spring.
