“Bags of Honor” Cornhole Tournament Hosted by American Legion Fairfax Post 177
Fairfax, VA — The American Legion Fairfax Post 177 proudly presents the “Bags of Honor” Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, April 18, 2026, a family-friendly cornhole event inviting players of all ages and skill levels to come out for fun, community engagement, and support of local veteran initiatives.
The tournament will take place at American Legion Post 177, located at 3939 Oak Street, Fairfax, VA, with events beginning at 12:00 p.m. with the Kid/Parent Tournament, followed by the Casual Tournament at 1:00 p.m..
Designed for both competitive and recreational players, the “Bags of Honor” event features:
Kid/Parent Tournament — A fun, two-game Swicholio format with shortened distances and prizes for winners.
Casual Tournament — Open play with a minimum of 4–6 games, 27’ throwing distance, and opportunities to win cash, gift cards, and prizes from event sponsors.
Entry fees are $20 per team for the Kid/Parent Tournament and $25 per player for the Casual Tournament.
As one of the largest American Legion posts in Virginia, Post 177 is committed to supporting veterans, active-duty military families, and the wider Fairfax community. This event combines spirited fun with a meaningful purpose — bringing neighbors together while celebrating camaraderie and service. The American Legion is a congressionally chartered non-profit organization of veterans, dedicated to service, community improvement, and youth development. Post 177 includes an active Auxiliary unit, Sons of the American Legion squadron, and Riders chapter, all working to further the mission of supporting veterans and their families.
