Gaithersburg Book Festival


The Gaithersburg Book Festival is a free annual celebration of great books and great writing that has made its mark as one of the nation’s top literary events. This year’s Festival – celebrating its 17th year and taking place May 16 – will feature more than 100 best-selling and award-winning authors who will participate in talks and panel discussions. Authors include: Fiction Rabih Alameddine Sadeqa Johnson Jason Mott Stephanie Dray Chanel Cleeton Non-Fiction Reyna Grande Jonathan Karl Susan Page Keith O’Brien Carol Leonnig and Aaron C. Davis Mystery/Thriller Alex Finlay Lori Rader-Day Nick Petrie Dan Fesperman Sujata Massey Romance Madeline Bell Sarah Adler Matthew Norman Sarah Goodman Confino Audrey Ingram Sci-Fi/Fantasy Ayana Gray Gretchen Powell Fox George Packer Thomas Elrod Jenn Lyons Poetry Iain Haley Pollock Steven Ratiner Cynthia Manick Arden Levine Dorian Elizabeth Knapp Children’s Picture Books Brian Lies Sherri Duskey Rinker Derrick Barnes Amy Timberlake Jonathan Roth Graphic Novels John Patrick Green Leland Melvin Dave Roman Nick Bruel Gareth Hinds Middle Grade Erin Entrada Kelly Jasmine Warga Linda Sue Park Leonard Marcus Mikki Knudsen Young Adult Sarah Dessen Tony Keith Jr. Alexandra Vilasante Darlene Campos Amanda McCrinna The Festival also includes interactive writing workshops, a Children’s Village, book sales, author signings and more. Admission and shuttles from Shady Grove Metro and Montgomery County Fairgrounds are FREE. The Gaithersburg Book Festival’s official bookseller is Politics and Prose Bookstore.
