Montgomery County "Out of the Darkness Walk" sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Preven
Join the Montgomery County Out of the Darkness Community Walk, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), for a day of hope, healing, and community. This annual event brings together survivors of suicide loss, individuals with lived experience, families, friends, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and supporters to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.
Participants will enjoy an inspiring opening ceremony, receive Honor Beads to recognize their personal connection to the cause, visit community resource and vendor tables, and walk together in support of those affected by suicide. Whether you walk in memory of a loved one, to support someone struggling, or to promote mental health awareness, your participation helps create hope and save lives.
Funds raised support AFSP's mission to save lives through research, education, advocacy, and support for those impacted by suicide. Everyone is welcome to participate—individuals, families, teams, businesses, and community organizations.
Together, we can create a culture where mental health is prioritized, hope is shared, and no one has to face their struggles alone.
