Play It Forward, a youth-led initiative based in Great Falls, is hosting a free community sports equipment distribution event to help make athletics more accessible for families across the DMV. Founded by brothers Grant, Chase, and Walker Kraemer, the organization focuses on collecting and redistributing gently used sports gear so that more kids have the opportunity to participate in the sports they love.
Following a successful equipment drive at Landon School, where over $5,000 worth of gear was donated to Loudoun Little League, Play It Forward is now inviting the community to take part in their next effort.
The upcoming event will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Sterling Community Center. Families are welcome to browse and take home a wide range of available equipment, including items for lacrosse, rugby, tennis, golf, swimming, and more, as well as cleats and general athletic gear.
All equipment is completely free, and no registration is required. The goal is simple: to remove barriers to participation and ensure every child has the chance to get in the game.
