Emma's Revolution duo songs of hope and resistance
Attendees are invited to participate in an informal protest poster contest. Bring your favorite family-friendly protest poster to express outrage, hope, irony, democracy, patriotism, and more. The audience will vote on the most creative, best message, best reference to history, and overall winner.
The concert is sponsored by First Church Unitarian’s Reclaiming Our Democracy task force. We take action to protect civil liberties guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, especially for vulnerable groups targeted by those currently in power. We work to wrest our democracy back from the authoritarian regime that has taken over the U.S. government through contacting elected officials, encouraging institutions not to collaborate, joining national and local protests, writing letters and postcards to educate voters, and other strategies.
