Take Note! A Cappella Ensemble Presents Benefit Concert For Partners In Development
POMFRET - The acclaimed a cappella ensemble Take Note! will perform in a benefit concert on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., hosted by Christ Church Pomfret, 521 Pomfret Street, Pomfret, CT. Donations received at the door will support Partners in Development (PID) and its project work in Guatemala, Haiti, and Mississippi.
The concert will feature Take Note!’s signature mix of jazz, pop, traditional, and multicultural repertoire performed by its select ensemble of talented local singers. Take Note! never charges for performances, and all donations collected at this event will go directly to Partners in Development.
Christ Church Pomfret has been deeply involved with Partners in Development since 2016, when members of the congregation began participating in annual service trips to Guatemala. Volunteers have supported PID’s mission by assisting with medical outreach, building safe stoves and housing improvements, and working alongside local families. This long‐standing partnership reflects the church’s commitment to hands‐on service and to supporting communities facing extreme poverty.
Partners in Development works to transform lives through sustainable programs in housing, healthcare, education, and economic development. Their long‐term presence in Guatemala, Haiti, and Mississippi focuses on helping families build stability and opportunity through practical, community‐centered support.
Since its founding in 2003, Take Note! has helped raise significant funds for charitable causes across Eastern Connecticut through its mission of offering free benefit concerts in partnership with local nonprofits.
