A Litttle Knit Music: Musical Tapestries
Organist Brett Maguire will share his program “Musical Tapestries,” featuring music by Bach, Franck, Vierne, and Florence Price. Brett Maguire has appeared at major venues in the United States and Europe, including a solo performance at Notre-Dame Cathedral, and is a prizewinner of the André Marchal International Organ Competition. His orchestral collaborations include performances with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Tanglewood with John Williams. Maguire is currently Organist at St. Cecilia Parish in Boston and serves on the faculty at Assumption University. Maguire is an expert in fiber arts, and will discuss the connections between music and hand crafts. We are encouraging our audience to craft during this concert, and a free reception will follow.
