Heritage Chorale Concert: America at 250 - Of Thee We Sing, 5/31 at 4pm, Fuller Middle School, Fram.
We hope you’ll join the Chorale at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 31 at the Fuller Middle School in Framingham as we honor this special anniversary. True to the Chorale’s performance goals, the program is unique and varied, featuring pieces that span more than 200 years of American music. From Chester, the work of the first American choral composer, William Billings (1746–1800), to Take Care of This House by one of the 20th century’s most renowned composers, Leonard Bernstein, and from anthems to cantatas, this May’s concert will be a treat for the listener. The program also includes the world premiere performance of local composer Leonardo Ciampa’s Helen Keller Cantata, a passionate framing of her words. The piece is dramatic and poignant, a not-to-be-missed musical experience. Tickets may be purchased online in advance at www.heritagechorale.org or at the door.
