About the artist
Dr. Yingqi Wang is a Boston-area pianist and educator whose work bridges Western classical traditions and Chinese musical aesthetics. She earned the Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, studying with Paul Barnes. Her cross-cultural focus is informed by research on Jianzhong Wang and her lecture-recital East Meets West: Fusion in Jianzhong Wang’s Piano Works. In 2025, she appeared in solo recitals at Westbrook Recital Hall (Lincoln), M. Steinert & Sons (Newton), and Boston’s Piano Craft Gallery.
