Texture & Time Mosaic Art Exhibit Opens August 7 at Georgetown Art Center

(GEORGETOWN, Texas) — Georgetown Art Center will present Texture & Time, a solo exhibition by Austin-based mosaic artist and muralist J. Muzacz, on view August 7 through September 6, 2026. Texture & Time explores the intersection of digital impressionism and geometric abstraction through contemporary mosaics crafted from repurposed stained glass, vitreous tile, Mexican Talavera and Turkish marble. Blending graffiti-inspired elements with portraiture, the exhibition pushes the boundaries of traditional mosaic art while celebrating the beauty of reclaimed materials. An opening reception takes place Saturday, August 8 from 4–6 p.m., an artist talk on Sunday, August 9 at 2 p.m. and a masterclass on Saturday, August 22.
