The Mountaintop

This powerful play offers a fictional depiction of the final night of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life set entirely in Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel on April 3, 1968, just after his iconic “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech on the eve of his assassination. This play invites audiences to witness a conversation that challenges legacy, purpose, and the cost of greatness. Directed by Jeremy Rashad Brown Our nonprofit partner for The Mountaintop is Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association (GCCMA).
