Citywide Auditions: SAVE THE DATE!

ATX Theatre's Citywide Auditions bring new talent to the attention of those in the local theatre industry who hire actors. Both actors and directors/producers must be members of ATXtheatre.org to participate in these auditions. This event is not open to the general public, and appointments MUST be arranged in advanced to gain admittance. No walk-ups will be seen. Actors without resumes will not be seen. Signups start April 15. Last year, 300 actors were seen by 50 directors over two days. IMPORTANT: This audition is open to seasoned actors 18 or older. Experience and training prior to auditioning in the Citywides is recommended, as the audition's purpose is hiring for both professional and community theatre productions. All actors must be local hires. ATX Theatre highlights Austin's plethora of theatrical experiences to welcome local audiences into authentic engagement with theatremakers over time. Behind the scenes, it unites theatremakers (Austin's 80 theatre companies and 2500 theatre artists) with force-multiplying initiatives that value efficiency, affordability, professional development, and collaboration over competition.
