Placing the New Testament’s most infamous figure under the microscope, this provocative and irreverent play examines our ideals of love, mercy, free will, and forgiveness. Stephen Adly Guirgis’s modern classic asks us all to consider the notion that evil may not be the presence of hate, but actually the absence of compassion.
