Marion Meadows


Thirty four years since his recording debut as a leader, Marion’s vision remains focused. “I try and offer a peaceful and loving approach through my music,” shares the saxman. Meadows musical endeavors are a who’s who of jazz. Meadows studied with iconic heavy-weight saxophonists Joe Henderson, Sonny Fortune, and Dave Liebman. He has been a well-known sideman in his own right, recording or performing over the years with Brook Benton, Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill, Will Downing, Bob Baldwin, Chuck Loeb, John Lee, among many others. His collaborations include The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, George Benson, and Eartha Kitt. Meadows first hit the airwaves in 1991 with “For Lovers Only”, followed by his groundbreaking “Keep it Right There” album. 17 albums later, he is a staple of contemporary jazz. Meadows celebrates over 3 decades of recording with his latest October 2024 album release “Just Doing Me".
