Outdoor Gear Swap
Stop by McDowell Nature Preserve for an outdoor gear swap. How the gear swap works is you can bring you gently used outdoor gear to McDowell Nature Center. The items will be sorted and given a ticket value. On the day of the swap, you will be given your tickets from the items you brought in and be able to swap for whatever you want. If you plan to bring more than 4 items, please plan to drop off ahead of the swap event. Examples of items we are accepting enamel or metal mugs, packs, outdoor clothing/shoes, flashlights, tents, fishing equipment, paddles, yoga accessories, etc. Items we can not accept are rope, PFDs, carabiners, knives/blades of any kind, liquid gas, guns, and anything that would be seen as a weapon. All ages welcome! If you have a large item you are interested in swapping please contact [email protected]. Everything that does not get swapped will be donated.
