Divercity: Our Lives are Works of Art

Tellin' Tales Theatre's Divercity: Our Lives are Works of Art shows that disabilities bring out our creativity in whatever we do. When we face hurdles, we find a way to leap over them, not in an inspiration porn way but in a creative way that gives us an edge in everything we do. Six writers, performers and artists share pithy solo performances based on their personal stories about living with a disability. They were created in a six-week Master Class taught by Tekki Lomnicki, Artistic Director of Tellin’ Tales Theatre. Performances are Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 17 at 2pm at the Alice Center for Education and Engagement at Goodman Theatre. Sign language interpretation, audio description and talk back are May 17. General Admission $20; Students/people with disabilities $15. Performers include: Kate Arnold, Jon Haven, Bob Ness, Amy O'Brien, Ben Saylor and Amanda Scheff.
