The Enrico Fermi Institute at the University of Chicago presents "The Compton Lectures: 50 Years of Discovery" — a nine-part series marking the 50th anniversary of one of Chicago's most beloved public science traditions. Nine leading physicists and cosmologists will reflect on half a century of landmark discoveries, from dark matter to gravitational waves to the origins of matter itself.
Free and open to all. Saturdays, 11 a.m., October 3 – December 5, at the Kersten Physics Teaching Center and online. No science background required.
