2026 Chicago Ducky Derby
Every August, Special Olympics Illinois hosts the Chicago Ducky Derby, an iconic fundraiser where a truck full of rubber ducks splashes into the Chicago River. The all-day event features a festival beginning at 10:00 AM and a race splashdown at 1:00 PM, creating a fun and memorable experience for thousands of spectators. Participants can adopt a duck for $10 for a chance to win exciting prizes, including a grand prize Chevy Trax. The Chicago Ducky Derby is the single biggest day of awareness in Chicago supporting more than 60,000 athletes and inclusive programs statewide.
