An award-winning chef, award-winning bourbon and four courses of Southern-inspired cuisine come together for an unforgettable evening at Reunion at Navy Pier on Monday, October 19.
Garrison Brothers Distillery, Texas’ first legal bourbon distillery, will host a special four-course bourbon pairing dinner at Reunion. Guests will enjoy Southern-inspired dishes crafted by Chef Art Smith, a two-time James Beard Foundation Award recipient and former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, paired with four expressions of Garrison Brothers’ highly acclaimed Texas bourbon.
The evening will showcase the versatility of bourbon through a menu that celebrates bold Southern flavors:
First Course: Crab chowder crispy prosciutto, roasted corn & poblano, corn velouté –paired with Garrison Brothers Small Batch
Second Course: Green tomato carpaccio chow chow, frisée, marinated heirloom cherry tomatoes, remoulade –paired with Garrison Brothers HoneyDew
Third Course: Fried chicken thigh truffle nashville hot rub, potato pavé, charred green onion aioli –paired with Garrison Brothers Balmorhea
Fourth Course: Peach crumble buttermilk gelato –paired with Garrison Brothers Guadalupe
Garrison Brothers has earned national attention for its distinctive Texas bourbon, with recent features in Yahoo!, Men’s Journal, Tasting Table and MAXIM. The distillery was founded in 2006 and became the first legal bourbon distillery outside Kentucky.
